rescueME MOB1 from Ocean Signal is the world's smallest AIS MOB with integrated DSC. The MOB1 is compatible with even the most compact inflatable lifejackets.

MOB1 is intended to be installed in a lifejacket and is automatically activated when the lifejacket is inflated, after which the first emergency message is issued within 15 seconds, while the integrated "strobe light" ensures maximum visibility in low light.

MOB1 communicates with the vessel you have been separated from and other vessels within approx. 5 NM depending on conditions. In an emergency, the rescueME MOB1 has two methods of quickly communicating your position with an accuracy of a few meters back to the ship, plus providing visual indication via its built-in “strobe light”. The best chance for quick rescue if you fall overboard comes from your own vessel.

Your crew must be quickly informed of the incident and know your position while the rescue is being carried out. Even in the calmest sea, it is alarming how quickly a "man overboard" disappears out of sight. When MOB1 is activated, a warning is sent to all AIS receivers and AIS activated plotters in the vicinity.

The integrated GPS ensures that a precise position is sent to your vessel and any others who can assist. For extra security, MOB1 can activate the DSC alarm on the ship's VHF, alerting the crew and other ships within VHF range about the situation.

Compatibility: Most modern AIS plotters and VHF Class D (DSC) meet the standards required to receive MOB transmissions.
