Description
The HM390C VHF radio can easily connect to a NMEA2000 or NMEA0183 network and receive incoming DSC messages.
If necessary, the DSC system sends a distress signal with the Vessel Identification Number (MMSI) to all vessels with a DSC unit within VHF range.
All necessary information, such as Position information and vessel identification are automatically included in the digital message for use in rescue operations.
In addition to the DSC function, the radio telephone has all important functions for a VHF Radio.
Loudhailer:
The HM390 VHF radio allows the connection of an external speaker which also functions as a megaphone.
Connections
The HM390 can be connected to an additional handset, for use in the cockpit or on the flybridge. The additional handset provides access to all functions of the VHF radio.
Smart GPS connection
The HM390 models have internal GPS and can also be connected to an external GPS antenna for use with the DSC-D function.
This facilitates the installation of the VHF radio, especially in small boats or if you want the location of the VHF unit separate from the navigation system.
