The Foretrex 601 and 701 navigators are more than just rugged. The navigators are manufactured to military standards for resistance to heat, shock and water (MIL-STD-810G). They also come with tactical features such as night vision goggles compatibility and Jumpmaster mode.

Both the Foretrex 601 and 701 work together with three satellite navigation networks, GPS, GLONASS and Galileo, to keep track of your position in more challenging conditions than GPS alone. Navigation sensors keep you on track

To guide you both on and off the beaten track, the Foretrex 601 and 701 have comprehensive GPS navigation and tracking as well as ABC sensor capabilities (altimeter, barometer and compass). The built-in altimeter provides altitude data so you can accurately monitor ascent and descent, while the barometer is used to predict weather changes by showing short-term fluctuations in air pressure. The 3-axis electronic compass keeps you on course whether you're moving or not.

The Foretrex 701 with AB Elite software is a great help for hunters and sports shooters. It is equipped with Applied Ballistics Elite software for calculating aiming solutions for long-range shooting.

Keep the connection

With smart notifications ¹ – available on both devices – you can receive emails, texts and reminders from your mobile device directly on your wrist. Use the Garmin Connect Mobile app to enable the LiveTrack ¹ feature to allow other people to follow your journey (where there is cellular coverage). Other connected features include automatic uploads to our Garmin Connect™ online training universe and automatic software updates when paired with a mobile device.
