Individual focus
First, each eyepiece is adjusted manually, then the binoculars automatically focus.
Magnification/lens 7x50
The image is 7 times larger than what the naked eye sees. 7x is the recommended magnification in marine binoculars. The second number 50 indicates how large the diameter of the lens is. The higher the number, the better the incidence of light. This is an advantage in low light. For marine use, a 50mm lens is recommended.
BaK-4 Prism
Barium prism material. Has excellent ability to transport light and image from the objective, through the prisms to the eyepiece and out to the eye. The BK-4 is an excellent quality optic.
Viewing angle: 7.5
The viewing angle in degrees indicates the width of the image that can be seen, at a distance of 1000 meters. A viewing angle of 7.5º gives a width of 132 m at a distance of 1000 meters.
