The fire blanket is an excellent supplement to the powder extinguisher - primarily for putting out smaller fires on the stove, in the bed, furniture or clothes. Smothering the fire with a fire blanket is very effective and requires minimal cleaning work afterwards. The fire blanket must hang easily accessible so that it can really be useful when needed.
