EchoPilot 2D forward sonar with real 7" color TFT LCD screen with nice and detailed information about the nature of the seabed.
Stronger echoes will produce colors in the red end of the spectrum, where weaker echoes are found in the blue end of the spectrum. This gives the user more information about the nature of the seabed. Stronger echoes will indicate hard seabed, such as rock. Weak echoes will be received from softer materials such as sand or mud.
Different areas or types of information are shown in contrasting colors so that the navigator can acquire the information much faster.
The digital depth on the EchoPilot 2D is an average of the first third of the screen forward, updated twice every second to reproduce "Real-Time" information, giving you a much more accurate representation of what is actually below your boat now.
FLS 2D can be supplied with two transducer options: Standard transducer (suitable for smaller fiberglass boats) and a professional transducer (suitable for larger boats). The standard transducer has a plastic hull feedthrough with 26mm free thread, and requires a hole with 45mm in diameter. The professional transducer has a bronze hull feedthrough with 77mm free thread, and requires a 60mm diameter hole.
Both transducer types come with a 10m cable, but 10m extension cables can be purchased additionally. The transducer must be mounted vertically.
FLS 2D is flush mounted as standard, but the stainless mounting bracket can be purchased separately.
