A good start or complete package
With a GMI Wired Start Pack 52 you get all the equipment you need to know what is happening with the wind and the water. If you want to install more than one instrument in your network, this is the perfect starter kit. When using the NMEA 2000 network, it is easy to expand with the number of instruments you want.
GMI 20 marine instrument
The digital GMI 20 marine instrument display has a perfect design for both motor and sailing boats. The large and clear 4" color screen with extra large numbers that are easy to read from a distance, has a 170 degree viewing angle and is designed to provide a clear display of depth, speed, wind and more than 100 other marine and boating parameters.
A lens glued to the glass of the GMI 20 prevents blurring and improves contrast. Readability in daylight is increased with a high-contrast color scale. To provide improved visibility at night, you can choose between red/black, green/black or the normal night mode color schemes along with a dimming control. The screens can be set to auto-scroll – switching between pages without you having to do anything. This is particularly beneficial for sailors as it allows you to install the unit or units in several different places on the boat. Standard profiles can be customized for powerboat, sailboat, fishing, engine/fuel and several other user-specific profiles. Power supply is via the NMEA 2000 network.
gWind transducer
The gWind transducer has twin-fin technology with a three-blade propeller, which provides more accurate true wind speed (True Wind Speed - TWS) in lighter winds, while the twin-fin design provides a more stable true wind angle (True Wind Angle - TWA). Unlike the cup design, the three-bladed propeller is always efficient. Combined with optical readout, this transducer provides superior accuracy at low wind speeds as well as excellent linearity.
Airmar DST810 transducer for mounting through the hull
The DST810 combines accurate depth, speed and temperature data with gyro data for heel/trim and pitch/roll inputs – which it delivers to the NMEA 2000 network and GNX 20™ instrument. This multi-sensor transducer can read depths up to 100 m (330 ft), provides fast signal output at 5 Hz for water velocity and has an operating frequency of 235 kHz with a 10 x 44 degree conical beam width. In addition, wireless connection to devices with BLUETOOTH technology enables DST810 calibration directly through the Cast app from Airmar. Advanced speed calibration allows for calibration at multiple heel angles and speeds.
