Know the wind and the water
With a GNX Wireless Sail Pack you get all the equipment you need to know what is happening with the wind and the water.
GNX Wind instrument
GNX Wind gives you the wind data needed to make informed decisions. The GNX Wind has an easy-to-read black and white LCD screen with glued glass and backlight, where the colors can be customized, and can be connected to the NMEA 2000 network to display two data fields and a digital wind rose simultaneously to display real and relative wind data, steering instructions, boat speed and much more. Low power consumption of 350 mW in daylight (no backlight) and 400 mW at night (medium backlight) is perfect for sailboats. Customizable user settings allow you to configure the screen layout to your preferred settings. Display configurations include more than 15 important marine parameters for wind, sea and navigation. It can even connect wirelessly to a quatix ® 3 GPS marine smartwatch via ANT ® technology to stream wind data directly to your wrist.
gWind Wireless 2 transducer
gWind Wireless 2 offers an easy-to-install solution that eliminates the need to run cables through masts of up to 15m (50ft). Accurate wind signals are sent via an ANT connection directly to a GNX Wind instrument or to a compatible Garmin GPSMAP ® plotter. The transducer features the renowned Nexus twin-fin technology with a three-blade propeller that provides accurate wind speed and stable wind angle in light wind conditions.
GNX 20 marine instrument
The easy-to-read GNX 20 screen with black characters on a white or colored background clearly shows water depth, the boat's speed through the water, water temperature and over 50 marine and boat parameters via the NMEA 2000 network. Customizable user settings allow you to choose from five available display configurations for sailboat or powerboat user profiles: single, double or triple function, and gauge and graph mode for displaying wind, depth and speed data, or customize the pages to display the marine and boating data that matters most to you. The screen with glued-on glass lens and anti-reflective coating provides excellent readability both day and night with high-contrast numbers that can be scaled up to 36 mm. Uses only 25 mA with 350 mW consumption during the day, requires no backlight and only 400 mW with a medium backlight setting at night.
Airmar DST810 transducer for mounting through the hull
The DST810 combines accurate depth, speed and temperature data with gyro data for heel/trim and pitch/roll inputs – which it delivers to the NMEA 2000 ® network and GNX 20 instrument. This multi-sensor transducer can read depths up to 100 m (330 ft), provides fast signal output at 5 Hz for water velocity and has an operating frequency of 235 kHz with a 10 x 44 degree conical beam width. In addition, wireless connection to devices with Bluetooth ® technology enables DST810 calibration directly via the Airmars Cast app. Advanced speed calibration allows for calibration at multiple heel angles and speeds.
