With the GPSMAP 8700 black box, you can add and integrate multiple sonar technologies as well as autopilot, connected services, apps, engine data and multimedia at your helm. In addition, our exclusive OneHelm ™ system can coordinate many third-party products manufactured onboard ships to provide full control of systems – such as digital switching, lighting, stabilization and more – to your touchscreen
Pairing with our external GPS 24xd 10 Hz GPS
GPSMAP 8700 black box can be paired with our GPS 24xd 10 Hz GPS receiver (sold separately) that updates position and direction 10 times per second. It shows a more fluid vessel movement and provides a significant improvement, allowing you to accurately mark and navigate to 5,000 waypoints.
Requires Garmin map reader
Our Garmin card reader (sold separately) provides convenient external mounting as well as a single access point for 2 SD ™ card slots for mapping. You can add more card readers to get more access points. Waterproof magnetic cover means that the card reader can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
Add Garmin maps or maps with Navionics data
Upgrade your charts with the most detailed, clear and precise charts such as BlueChart ® g3 and BlueChart ® g3 Vision with Navionics data and Auto Guidance¹ technology. The Auto Guidance technology uses your desired depth and clearance to quickly calculate a suggested route for your particular boat. Also compatible with Quickdraw Contours software so you can instantly create personalized on-screen fishing charts with 30cm depth curves as you fish.
