Description

The Ocean Signal SafeSea S100 radar transponder is a search and rescue transponder (SART) that meets and exceeds IMO / SOLAS requirements.

The S100 search and rescue transponder (SART) has been developed to help locate life rafts and lifeboats. When the S100 Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) is activated, the unit remains in standby until automatically activated by an X Band Radar from a nearby vessel. The S100 search and rescue transponder then sends a series of pulses which will be displayed on the ship's radar as a line of dots, giving them direction and distance to the rescue vessel.

The S100 search and rescue transponder has the same operation as the SafeSea E100 EPIRB, helping to make use easy for all users.
