All Den Haan lamps are oven lacquered for easier maintenance. However, if the lamps are in a humid environment, they should be regularly cleaned with water and dried. Special attention should be paid to corners around bent edges, where moisture can penetrate under the paint.
When using oil lamps, discolouration of the parts that are strongly heated by the burner must be expected.
